An off-duty Atlantic City firefighter was arrested early Friday morning, after a crash in which he was allegedly drunk. According to BreakingAC.com, Shay Steele Jr., 25, who lives in the city, failed to stop for a red light at Baltic and Indiana avenues just after 5 a.m., video surveillance allegedly shows.Steele was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, and is charged with fourth-degree assault by auto. The other driver's name was not released. The 44-year-old Egg Harbor Township resident was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus for injuries not considered life-threatening. Steele was released on a summons. He also was issued several motor vehicle summonses, including driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a chemical test.
