New Jersey is officially out of emergency mode. Governor Sherrill has ended the storm emergency declaration that was put in place as the nor'easter bore down on the state, and the focus has now shifted to sizing up the damage left in the storm's wake. The Press of Atlantic City reports that Sherrill ended the storm emergency and that New Jersey officials are now assessing damage from the nor'easter. For our neighbors along the coast and throughout the region, that means the worst of the weather has passed and the hard work of recovery is underway.
