Today, Jay Gillian will take the oath of office for a fifth term as mayor. Gillian, 61, will take the oath of office at the Music Pier on the Boardwalk at noon at the city's yearly reorganization meeting. In 2010, he was first elected. During the meeting, Sean Barnes, Tony Polcini, and newcomer Jim Kelly will be sworn in as members of the City Council. With 1,981 votes in the May nonpartisan municipal election, Gillian won a second four-year term.
