29 year old Unique Tyson of Egg Harbor Township was sentenced to three years in New Jersey State Prison after pleading guilty to aggravated assault. On April 19, 2025, while Tyson was detained at the Atlantic County Justice Facility, he attacked a correctional officer who was trying to provide medication. The officer was hit over 10 times in the facial area and lost consciousness. Tyson was incarcerated at the time after pleading guilty to second-degree possession of narcotics with the intent to distribute and pending sentencing.
