A 14-year-old boy was arrested after he allegedly brandished a gun at other students riding home on a school bus Wednesday.A Mays Landing man also was charged after he removed the handgun from the boy’s backpack while police were questioning the teen, according to the charges.Police were called to the teen’s Cologne Avenue home Wednesday, after receiving reports that he showed a loaded Smith & Wesson handgun while riding in the bus home from Absegami High School’s summer program, according to the affidavit of probable cause obtained by BreakingAC. When police searched the teen’s backpack, they found three 9mm bullets, but no gun, the affidavit states. John Mutcherson Jr., 39, later told Hamilton Township police that he removed the gun from the teen’s backpack whlle police were outside talking to the teen, according to the affidavit. He put it into an accordion folder in teh closet, where patrol found the silver handgun.
