The Stone Harbor Borough Council has adopted a 2026 budget containing a 4.4% increase in the local purpose tax rate. A property valued at $1.5 million will pay an additional $218 per year.Combining all taxes for local, school and county purposes, the increase to borough property owners is $0.02 per $100, meaning the same $1.5 million property would pay a total additional tax of $290 this year. The local purpose tax rate rose from $0.335 to $0.350.
