George Harrell, 36, of Philadelphia was sentenced to an aggregate term of 18 years after pleading guilty to aggravated manslaughter. The charges stem from a 911 call to law enforcement that there was a deceased male in the area of Kentucky Avenue in Atlantic City on June 5, 2022. An autopsy ruled the cause of death to be a stab wound to the victim, D.H. The stabbing was captured on video and reviewed by investigators. The victim’s discarded wallet was found at the location where the suspect was seen pausing behind the bus. Video showed the suspect continue from the school bus to a Cedar Market, which he entered. A still photo was created from the video, and the suspect was later identified by a witness as George Harrell.
