Overgrown brush, abandoned furniture, and piles of trash have become all too familiar to many locals. However, on Wednesday, an elderly couple's overgrown backyard in the 2800 block of Carlton Avenue was transformed by a group of Atlantic City High School students who exchanged their summer vacation for rakes, shovels, and hedge trimmers during a community cleanup offered at no cost by the Community Cleanup & Laborer Team.
