35 year old Rockwell Pohlig of West Deptford, was sentenced to 13 years in New Jersey State Prison after he pleaded guilty to Attempted Murder Possession of a Handgun for Unlawful Purposes, and Possession of Controlled Substances with Intent to Distribute. The defendant admitted to attempting to kill a victim by shooting him with a handgun in Atlantic City on October 12, 2024. The defendant turned himself into the Atlantic County Justice Facility on October 17, 2024, and admitted to bringing over one ounce of synthetic cannabinoid into the jail at the time of his surrender with the intent to distribute it to other inmates. Pohlig will remain detained at the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending transfer to State Prison
