Because state officials have not yet finished the necessary examination of the proposed municipal budget, Ocean City City Council postponed a vote on it on Thursday night. The $118 million budget, which was presented in March and would have increased the municipal-purpose tax rate by 1.38 cents per $100 of assessed property value, was ready for council approval.
