The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office has chosen the first female operator for the region's SWAT team. The Prosecutor's Office said in a news statement on Tuesday that Detective Kayla Dodge was eligible for the assignment after passing the 2025 Special Weapons and Tactics selection procedure. The Prosecutor's Office is in charge of the multi-agency tactical squad known as the Atlantic County Regional SWAT team, which is made up of officers that have been specifically chosen from law enforcement organizations throughout the county. Beyond regular patrol duties, the squad reacts to high-risk situations that need for specific strategies, equipment, and training.
