A South Jersey family has donated $1 million to expand emergency stroke and neuroscience care at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s City Campus. SouthJerseyNewsBeat.com reports the gift from the Lees family will boost neuro hospitalist coverage, add specialized staffing, and upgrade patient-care equipment. Funding will also support new technology for first responders to identify neurological emergencies in the field and transmit critical patient data ahead of arrival. As the region’s only Comprehensive Stroke Center, AtlantiCare says the contribution will ensure fast, life-saving care begins before patients even reach the hospital.
