Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small Sr. said Thursday that MGM Resorts International is proposing building as many as 1,000 units of housing on vacant land it owns between the Borgata and Harrah's casinos. According to The Press of Atlantic City, the mayor made the claim on Facebook after he said he met with MGM officials at City Hall. The land has long been the subject of speculation due to its size, value and strategic location between two profitable casinos in the city's Marina District.
