Two Mays Landing men charged after guns were found in an impounded vehicle are now both behind bars. According to BreakingAC.com, Romello Gardner was stopped for tinted windows and license plate cover April 5, but it was what a K-9 allegedly smelled coming from inside the 2021 black Dodge Durango being towed from the scene that brought criminal charges. A search warrant for the seized vehicle days later resulted in the discovery of guns not drugs. One of the guns was stolen out of Monroe Township, Middlesex County. Arrest warrants were issued for Gardner and his passenger, Luis Lopez-Bautista. Both are now in custody.
