On Wednesday, an Atlantic County Grand Jury indicted Franklin Junior Felipe De La Paz, 26, of Atlantic City for Manslaughter in the April 22, 2026, shooting death of Jaylou Marlenne Pineda Lopez, 22, also of Atlantic City as well as being in possession of a large-capacity ammunition magazine. An investigation by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit, in conjunction with the Atlantic City Police Department, revealed one individual, Jaylou Marlenne Pineda-Lopez, had suffered a gunshot wound and was subsequently pronounced deceased. On April 30, 2026, Franklin Junior Felipe De La Paz was apprehended in Pleasantville, NJ by members of the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office’s Major Crimes Unit.
