An Atlantic City man arrested with a handgun while on pretrial release in an assault was sentenced to five years in prison Wednesday. According to BreakingAC.com, Shawn Braxton, 49, pleaded guilty in March to second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon and third-degree aggravated assault.Braxton was first arrested Dec. 7, 2024, after police responded to reports of an assault.Shore Medical June An investigation found he spat on, punched and attempted to pepper-spray a woman, who flagged down police and told them what happened.
