Following Patrick Rosenello's appointment to the Cape May County Board of Commissioners, Ronald Simone was chosen to occupy the vacant City Council seat. Simone was appointed by the council on Tuesday. Joseph Rullo was named president by the council during the meeting as well. Rosenello served as president before. Simone worked in the city's administrative office and as a lifeguard before being appointed. Up until 2022, he was the city administrator. Since 2014, Rullo has been a council member.
