Days after reaching an agreement on the yearly spending bill, New Jersey's top Democrats are still negotiating the state's budget, and it looks like the process will continue until the day of a government shutdown. Although top Democrats in both legislative chambers and Governor Mikie Sherrill announced on Tuesday that they had reached a budget agreement that would maintain the state's yearly spending at $60.7 billion, the governor and other high-ranking officials were unable to disclose the amount of new spending they had agreed to add.
