42 year old Lamar Parker from Atlantic City, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. On February 22, Atlantic City Police Officers responded to the Congress Avenue area in Atlantic City regarding a physical altercation involving a hammer. Upon arrival, officers observed a male, the victim, bleeding from the head holding the door of a convenience store closed. The victim informed officers that the individual inside the store was the person who hit him on the head with a hammer. Officers made contact with that individual, Parker, and detained him. Officers were able to obtain surveillance from inside the store which depicted Parker approaching the victim and hitting him in the head with a hammer multiple times. Sentencing is scheduled for August 19, 2026
