Late Friday evening, June 24, 2026, officers from the Mullica Police Department responded to a single motor vehicle accident in the area of Route 30 and Snow Hill Road. Upon arrival, officers observed that the driver, later identified as Javonte Stallworth, 19, of Mullica Twp., was deceased and that he had sustained a single gunshot wound to the head. Witnesses stated that two people fled from the accident scene on foot. A short time later, two juvenile passengers who were travelling with Stallworth were located, stopped and detained. They were subsequently transported to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office for questioning. After questioning, one of the juveniles, A.H., 15, also from Mullica Twp., was charged with Aggravated Manslaughter, Unlawful Possession of a Handgun, Possession of a Firearm for an Unlawful Purpose, Possession of a Firearm Without a Serial Number, and Possession of a Firearm by a Minor. The juvenile was transported to the Harbor Fields Juvenile Detention Center to be lodged.
