Following Spirit Airlines' early May closure, the South Jersey Transportation Authority is providing incentives to airlines in an effort to expand the number of routes available from Atlantic City International Airport. On June 17, the initiative was approved by the agency's Board of Commissioners. "Since Spirit Airlines discontinued operations in May, other carriers have stepped in to serve all the destinations previously offered by Spirit at ACY," stated Kim Testa, a representative for the organization in charge of the airport.
