An Atlantic City man has been sentenced to seven years in state prison after admitting to a 2023 shooting during a large fight. Charles Summers, 22, pleaded guilty to second-degree aggravated assault and firearm charges stemming from the July 4th incident on Sewell Avenue. Surveillance video and witness statements revealed that Summers followed the victim and shot him twice in the legs after the man attempted to break up an altercation between several women. Summers is currently awaiting transfer to state prison following his sentencing last month.
