A Pleasantville man who fatally beat his pregnant girlfriend and then tried to cover it up has pleaded guilty. According to BreakingAC.com, Boris Lainez Rosales, now 28, faces 30 years without parole under the plea agreement. Lainez Rosales called 911 at about 2 a.m. Dec. 3, 2024, saying his live-in girlfriend fell down about 12 stairs and was unresponsive. Police arrived at the home on West Edgewater Avenue to find a bloody scene, except at the bottom of the basement stairs, where Leslianette Quintana Betancourt was found dead. The basement and the Lainez Rosales smelled of bleach, and blood-stained clothing was found in his vehicle and a blood-stained bat was in the backyard. That led to a tampering charge as Lainez Rosales was accused of trying to cover up his crime.
