On Wednesday, April 22, officers from the Atlantic City Police Department responded to a call of a shooting at 2202 Hamilton Avenue, Apartment D, Atlantic City at approximately 9:30 p.m. , where 22 year old Jaylou Marlene Pineda-Lopez of Atlantic City had suffered a gunshot wound and was subsequently pronounced deceased. On Wednesday, April 29, a judge authorized charges against Franklin J. Felipe De La Paz, 26, from Atlantic City for Aggravated Manslaughter and Possession of a Large-Capacity Ammunition Magazine. On Thursday, De La Paz was arrested in Pleasantville, by members of the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office’s Major Crimes Unit.
