School districts in South Jersey are getting ready to adopt new policies in order to comply with the new state regulations on the use of devices in classrooms as the back-to-school season approaches. Many schools are in varying stages of development; some have approved new policies, while others are only beginning to draft plans. The state did provide direction on the policies to all schools, as seen by how identical the proposed policies are. Not only are telephones forbidden during school hours, but any internet-connected device-including tablets and smart devices-are also prohibited.
