25 year old Carlos Medina-Morales of Philadelphia has been sentenced to four years behind bars after pleading guilty to aggravated assault in connection to a July 28, 2024, shooting in Atlantic City. Medina-Morales will be supervised on parole for three years following his release from prison. On July 28, 2024, Atlantic City Police Officers responded to the Cinco de Mayo bar and restaurant located on Atlantic Avenue for reports of a male shot. The evidence recovered throughout the investigation revealed that in the early morning hours, Medina-Morales was denied entry into the bar. Prior to leaving the area, he threatened and argued with the staff. Medina-Morales then left in a vehicle, firing rounds towards the establishment as the vehicle drove off.
