Stockton University students and teachers gathered to rally against layoffs announced this week that will see at least 21 positions gone by the end of the academic year. BreakingAC.com reports a petition created by the Stockton Federation of Teachers is demanding that the university “exhaust all feasible cost-saving alternatives to layoffs” and “make a written commitment to this process” by documenting “the alternatives considered and the savings they can achieve.”The four-point list ends with the expectation of a written response by Friday, Oct. 16.
