A long-awaited effort to fortify the city's seaside fortifications will receive $4.3 million from Cape May County. A bond legislation enabling the county's contribution to the Cape May City seawall project was submitted by the county Board of Commissioners on Tuesday. $4,095,238 of bonds or notes are included in the measure to help cover some of the expenses. On June 23, there will be a public hearing on the ordinance.
