Khashayar Salartash, MD, is a board-certified vascular surgeon specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular conditions in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. As the owner of Salartash Surgical Associates, Dr. Salartash provides comprehensive surgical care to his patients and holds hospital privileges at Atlantic City Medical Center.
Dr. Salartash began his undergraduate education at Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, before transferring to Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology and Psychology. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine from George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC.
Following medical school, Dr. Salartash completed his general surgery residency at Cooper Hospital/University Medical Center through the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at Camden, in Camden, New Jersey. During his residency, he also completed a surgical research fellowship in the Division of Surgical Research at the same institution. He then went on to complete a vascular surgical fellowship at the Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation, Ochsner Clinic, Division of Vascular Surgery, in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Dr. Salartash is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and holds certification in vascular surgery. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons and the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, and is an inductee of Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honor society. Dr. Salartash is actively involved in research and has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and has presented his work at major national and international surgical conferences.
