Dan opens with an audio clip of "The Great Boat-lift of 9/11," an annual airing of the incredible selfless feat that was accomplished by individual boaters in getting hundreds of thousands of people off Manhattan island in the immediate aftermath of 9/11. Dan is joined each Friday by Keith Hartzell, who is also an Ocean City councilman, author, and minister as co-host, and they both comment on today's opening clip. They also talk about some of the other major news stories, and take a few calls from listeners like 'The Bookie'.
