Dan continues into hour 2 with Atlantic County Sheriff, Joe O'Donoghue talking about the current operation of, and future, of the sheriff's office under his direction. They are also joined by HERO campaign founder and chairman, Bill Elliot, whose son, ensign John Elliot, was killed by a drunk driver while returning home on leave. Bill, and his wife Muriel, started the HERO campaign to encourage designated drivers, raise awareness about the dangers of drinking and driving, and using the tragedy to help others avoid such a devastating loss.
