Bruce “Brewster” Williams grew up in Atlantic City and began his love of music at an early age. Bruce began in studying clarinet in the 4th grade then switched over to Alto and tenor saxophones in high school. He and his brother who played trumpet were members of a Chicago style band in their teenage years. The group was called The Solid Eight and played on The Steel Pier in Tony Grant Stars Of tomorrow. Bruce became a fan of jazz after listening to his older brother’s records. Cannonball Adderley, Henry Mancini, and Ahmad Jamal. While attending Atlantic City High School he began listening to John Coltrane, Miles Davis and Wayne Shorter. Brewster’s love of jazz has been allowed to grow over the years and blossoms every Sunday night at 7 PM. Join Brewster for the coolest jazz on radio!
